April's getting married!!!!!!!!!!!

My good friend April is getting married, YAY!!!  When she asked me to do engagement pictures we both thought, hey, wouldn't pictures in the snow look cool?  So, we waited for a snow and got one Monday night.  Tuesday morning we braved the cruddy roads and crazy drivers and met at Laumeier Sculpture park at 10am.  By 10:20, all were in agreement that it was tooooo cooooold!!!  So, we will meet again, when the sun is shining, our noses aren't running and earmuffs aren't necessary!!  We did however manage to get in a couple shots...here they are!

Congratulations again Jon and April, I am soo happy for you both and wish you guys all the happiness in the world!!!

Rylynn's Newborn Pictures

I realize I am not a super 'gooey' person.  I often don't say the right thing at the right time...but there is something about babies (and animals) that just gets to me.  They are so innocent and sweet, they don't care if you get tongue tied, or say something goofy...they just want to you to talk to them.

I think this is why I prefer photographing the new babies, not to mention I get to sneak a little cuddle in here and there...and the smell of a new baby is just the best!

I have been looking forward to Little Miss Rylynn's session for many months now...I went a little crazy with the Christmas theme..but she didn't seem to mind.  She is such a good baby, she barely whimpered the entire session.

Baby Emma

  It was brought to my attention that I have not posted new pictures lately. (Yes, Lizzie, I am talking to you)
  My friend Katie had asked me to take pictures of this baby way back in April....not that she was excited for a new neice or anything.  Well..Emma was certainly worth the wait, she is a great baby...and very very cute!

It's Been a While...

since I went out and used my camera just for fun.  Well, today was the day! 

First, I went to Lone Elk Park and Old Towne Fenton to try and get some shots that will eventually come together as a gift.  This will require I get out and do some more shooting..'just for fun'..hopefully I can get this finished before Thanksgiving!

Then this evening the kids wanted to have a fire in the fire pit (personally, I think they just wanted to roast marshmallows...but whatever)  So, I thought it might be fun to try to get shots of fire.  Easier said than done, but, I did come out with a few that I am happy with.
