Keeping Busy

Thank you for all of the kind words regarding the passing of our little furry family member.  I have found a few distractions this past week and thought I would share them.

First up is Littney, I had the pleasure of meeting her one fine morning to do some senior pictures, we were a fine pair...she hates spiders...and as everyone found out..I hate snakes!!!  In spite of some excitement, I think we managed to get some good shots!  I would also like to thank my friend Dana for coming out and assisting in the fun that is photography!!

Next up, we have an adorable couple that found me somehow...and I am soo glad they did!  These two are going to be fabulous parents!  I can not wait for the call to come in and photograph the delivery!!!

I cannot wait to find out if they are having a boy or a girl!!

Third up is Sweet Baby Leila....I love her name...and the spelling.  She is such a calm little girl too!  She really let me try some things with her today, and for a special treat, she didn't christen any of my props....This sweet angel is the first to not pee, poo or puke on me..and for that Leila, I say THANK YOU!!

As a final note, I want to encourage people to leave comments, I would love to hear from the people that take a look at my work!!  Thanks for stopping by!

Super Sad Day

Maggie was born the morning after my grandmother died.  He (yes, he is a boy named Maggie) was a little tiny gift from heaven sent to soothe our pain and grief.  Now we are in the position to return the favor and soothe his pain, and we are trying desperately to make him comfortable.  We are in the last 12 hours of our precious boys life, I don't know if he will make it to the vet in the morning..and I am torn as to whether I want him to be called by God (and consequently leave us to find his body) or if I want to be in the position where I have to make the call to get that last shot.  Either way, we have a really tough day ahead of us.  We love you Maggie..we will miss you terribly.

Welcome Leila!!!

I love taking pictures, I am sure that doesn't come as a surprise to a lot of people.  More than anything though, I ADORE photographing the arrival of new babies!!!!  Could I have a more awesome job...and I do mean AWE some...it never fails to blow my mind that one minute that little one is inside his/her Mom, and the next...he/she is outside for everyone to see and love.  It is my privilege to be a witness to that miracle and to capture it for people to witness over and over again.

In every session, there is always one shot that I love more than all the others *although sometimes it is really close*  and here is my favorite moment from the birth of sweet baby Leila.

What a sweet family!

Here are two more...

Look, she already has Dad wrapped around those little fingers!

Welcome Leila Marie

Claudia Sneak Peek

Sometimes it takes a while for me to figure out what makes the babies I photograph happy..it is always worth the wait.
