Rylynn's Newborn Pictures

I realize I am not a super 'gooey' person.  I often don't say the right thing at the right time...but there is something about babies (and animals) that just gets to me.  They are so innocent and sweet, they don't care if you get tongue tied, or say something goofy...they just want to you to talk to them.

I think this is why I prefer photographing the new babies, not to mention I get to sneak a little cuddle in here and there...and the smell of a new baby is just the best!

I have been looking forward to Little Miss Rylynn's session for many months now...I went a little crazy with the Christmas theme..but she didn't seem to mind.  She is such a good baby, she barely whimpered the entire session. 

Congratulations again Ryan and Amanda!!

Baby Emma

  It was brought to my attention that I have not posted new pictures lately. (Yes, Lizzie, I am talking to you)
  My friend Katie had asked me to take pictures of this baby way back in April....not that she was excited for a new neice or anything.  Well..Emma was certainly worth the wait, she is a great baby...and very very cute!

It's Been a While...

since I went out and used my camera just for fun.  Well, today was the day! 

First, I went to Lone Elk Park and Old Towne Fenton to try and get some shots that will eventually come together as a gift.  This will require I get out and do some more shooting..'just for fun'..hopefully I can get this finished before Thanksgiving!

Then this evening the kids wanted to have a fire in the fire pit (personally, I think they just wanted to roast marshmallows...but whatever)  So, I thought it might be fun to try to get shots of fire.  Easier said than done, but, I did come out with a few that I am happy with.

Joy of Family!

I recently had the opportunity to meet Joy and her very beautiful family!  So Much Fun!!!  It has been years since I went to a park and fed the ducks, but I am here to tell you, I see myself doing that a lot more frequently in the future!!

Ready for a Busy Week!!!

As it turns out, everyone wants their pictures taken in the fall (or spring)  And right now the leaves are GORGEOUS!!  This week I am going to be at some beautiful places with some wonderful people..and I can't wait! 
If anyone has ideas on places to take indoor picture over the more inhospitable StL weather months, please leave a comment...

Katie and Kevin

I have worked with Katie for a few years now, and I was flattered when she asked me to take her engagement portraits.  This weekend we finally got to do them.  I had a great time with them and their dog Chubbs (who I found out has a thing for squirrels).  We went to Forest Park and then to Tower Grove Park..I am a little embarrassed that I had never been to Tower Grove Park before...it is beautiful..I will for sure be taking more pictures there!!

Keeping Busy

Thank you for all of the kind words regarding the passing of our little furry family member.  I have found a few distractions this past week and thought I would share them.

First up is Littney, I had the pleasure of meeting her one fine morning to do some senior pictures, we were a fine pair...she hates spiders...and as everyone found out..I hate snakes!!!  In spite of some excitement, I think we managed to get some good shots!  I would also like to thank my friend Dana for coming out and assisting in the fun that is photography!!

Next up, we have an adorable couple that found me somehow...and I am soo glad they did!  These two are going to be fabulous parents!  I can not wait for the call to come in and photograph the delivery!!!

I cannot wait to find out if they are having a boy or a girl!!

Third up is Sweet Baby Leila....I love her name...and the spelling.  She is such a calm little girl too!  She really let me try some things with her today, and for a special treat, she didn't christen any of my props....This sweet angel is the first to not pee, poo or puke on me..and for that Leila, I say THANK YOU!!
